Published under the pseudonym ‘Currer Bell’, Jane Eyre is a Bildungsroman and is a much-adored novel since it was inked. Jane Eyre often regarded as the novel that revolutionised prose fiction. It is an account of Jane Eyre’s, the protagonist’s growth and development, and her love Mr.Rochester, the master of Thornfield Hall and her employer. Written in soft lines that touch you, it is a beautiful read.

7. And then there were none, Agatha Christie

Just for the reader’s information, Agatha Christie has been one of the finest authors when it came to writing thrillers. The story finely begins with ten people being called on a remote island and being killed one after another. Who was the murderer? what was the motive? How is the crime uncovered? Who is saved? Each page will push you into an adventure and keep you hooked. One of the finest book that you can’t keep down! 

8.  Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank:

Set in dire circumstances of death and uncertainty, Anne Frank’s words are a beckon of hope and perseverance. Written in the diary that she received as a present on her 13th birthday, addressed as ‘Dear Kitty, Anne Frank recounts the struggles of their life in hiding. The fears that each little sound creates and her continuous hope of a better tomorrow. It is a must-read if you want to reaffirm your beliefs of change!

Anne Frank wrote the diary entirely while she was hiding during the Jewish Holocaust and her book is the description of the harsh reality and traumatizing views she had to accept. Moreover, Anne Frank’s diary was the evidence of the hope she preserved in her heart and the contradicting circumstances that were crushing her hope. It is a collection of events that she witnessed over two years before succumbing of a disease in a concentration camp at a mere age of 15.
